William Ward Crane Dies of Battlefield Wounds

Private Crane Killed in Action in France

Belleville born William Ward Crane died of wounds received in battle At Bois D'Ormont on October 17, 1918.

Private Crane, of Kearny, joined the Army in Newark on August 1, 1917.

He served with Co. G of the First Infantry, NJ National Guard Co G, 113th Infantry) from August 5, 1917, to his death.

He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Mary Crane of 30 Kearny Avenue, Kearny, NJ.

Crane was repatriated and is buried at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, N.J.
