Taibi Killed in Action in Tunisia, N. Africa

Pvt. Joseph C. Taibi, of Frederick Street, was killed in action in Tunisia, North Africa, on April 8, 1943.

Pvt. Taibi served in the 47th Infantry Regiment, 9th Infantry Division. He entered the service from New Jersey. His service number is 32057408.

The son of Salvatore and Frances Taibi, Joseph was born in New Jersey on April 16, 1920.

Taibi VFW Post #6265 was established in his honor in Belleville, N.J.

Pvt. Taibi is  buried at Plot I Row 17 Grave 8, North Africa American Cemetery, Carthage, Tunisia Awards: Purple Heart
